Solid State Supplies has announced availability of HT7M2126 – Micro PIR Detector module from Holtek Semiconductor Inc. The new human body infrared detector modules come fully integrated with optical lenses, a passive infrared (PIR) sensor and DSP algorithms.
The HT7M2126 features low power consumption: operating mode (moving objects to be detected) < 1.5mA, standby with detecting mode < 40uA (operating voltage 3.3V). The module boasts of intelligent signal recognition algorithm and optional communication interfaces: I2C for network mode or I/O for stand-alone mode. It has an adjustable trigger output time: 16-bit x 100ms in network mode and supports external optical sensors e.g. photo transistors. Along with an integrated temperature sensor with temperature compensation making the HT7M2126 ideal for applications that demand security monitoring systems, intelligent lighting control, home appliances energy saving control and office equipment automation.
The HT7M2126 achieves both the left and right viewing angles at 60°, the pitch angle is 38° and the detection distance is between 3.5 ?6 meters of visual range, with versions available up to 10 meters. These modules include a wide range of features such as low power consumption, <40uA, an I2C communication interface and DSP algorithms which improve the reliability of the PIR detector.
The micro PIR detector module is now available from Solid State Supplies in sample and volume quantities.
