Mouser Announces Worldwide Distribution Deal with UDOO

Mouser Partners with Makers of Dual-Processor Single-Board Computers

Mouser Electronics, Inc. today announced a distribution agreement with UDOO to distribute the company’s six single-board computers (SBCs) to Mouser customers around the world. These SBCs are ideal for prototyping applications requiring multimedia capabilities and high levels of parallel computing, maintaining the performance and low-power advantages of the processors. The boards provide a flexible environment that helps users explore the Internet of Things (IoT).

The UDOO product line, available from Mouser Electronics, will include six versions of the UDOO SBCs, including the newly launched UDOO NEO. The new UDOO NEO is an open-source, low-cost computer equipped with a Freescale i.MX 6 SoloX applications processor for Android and Linux. The processor embeds an ARM® Cortex®-M4 microcontroller which makes the board compatible with the Arduino environment, allowing high performance at a low price. The UDOO NEO features Wi-Fi, 10/100 Ethernet, and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity as well as a nine-axis accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer for Internet of Things (IoT) sensor applications. The NEO boards include two sets of I/O headers: one that meets the Arduino Uno form factor, and an additional set that provides extended I/O functionality.

Mouser is also stocking the UDOO Dual and UDOO Quad SBCs. The Dual SBCs include the Freescale i.MX 6 DualLite processor, and are available with or without Wi-Fi and Gigabit Ethernet connectivity. The UDOO Quad contains a Freescale i.MX 6 Quad processor and includes Wi-Fi and Gigabit Ethernet connectivity. The Dual and Quad SBCs all match the Arduino Due form factor for use with Arduino-compatible shields.

“We are very happy to start this relationship with Mouser to cover markets worldwide,” said Alessandro Santini, Sales Manager for UDOO. “Mouser is known for its focus on the rapid introduction of new products and technologies, ensuring that products will be readily available to customers around the world. This is a beneficial partnership for everyone involved as demand for embedded devices and IoT applications and products continues to grow.”

“UDOO’s single-board computers are helping drive the growth of the Internet of Things as design engineers need tools to quickly prototype solutions and speed-up their time-to-market,” said Russell Rasor, Vice President, Supplier Management, Advanced Technologies for Mouser Electronics. “With our focus on supporting the design cycle, we now have a better way to fulfill demand for this technology across the globe with UDOO’s innovative products.”
