ASUS today announced the Chromebit CS10, the world’s smallest Chrome device, which turns any HDMI-compatible TV or monitor into a Chrome OS desktop. This award-winning design has automatic updates built in, along with the latest virus protection, to give users a fast, smart, and secure computing experience. The Chromebit CS10 lets users browse the web, watch multimedia content, and access thousands of features and apps on the Chrome Web Store. It also works as an easily-manageable and cost-effective digital signage or kiosk solution.

Multi-award-winning design

The Chromebit CS10 embodies the best of ASUS design and Google innovation, and it has already received a 2015 Good Design Award and 2016 CES Innovation Award. It has a sleek and elegant design that is just 12cm long. The Chromebit CS10 comes with an extension cable to accommodate the varying angles and positions of HDMI ports on different displays. Adhesive hook-and-loop fasteners are also included in the box for users who want to attach the Chromebit CS10 to their display.

img_product_03The convenience and security of Chrome OS

The Chromebit CS10 boots up in seconds and delivers Full HD visuals. It features the latest Chrome OS, which takes the stress out of computing with automatic updates and built-in anti-virus software.

The Chromebit CS10 has 2GB of LPDDR3L RAM, 16GB of eMMC storage, dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth® 4.0, and both USB and HDMI ports. It can be used with USB hubs and paired with compatible Bluetooth keyboards and mice.

Setup is easy, requiring users to just log in to their Google account. This account-based approach keeps all user data separate and secure. The Chromebit CS10 also comes with 100GB of free Google Drive space, giving users access to their files in the cloud, as well as popular Google services.

A big-screen Chrome OS experience in the living room

When paired with a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, the Chromebit CS10 brings the Chrome OS experience to a Full HD TV or monitor. Users can browse the web, watch YouTube videos and live events, and access thousands of features and apps on the Chrome Web Store.

Ideal for digital signage and kiosks

img_product_05The versatile Chromebit CS10, along with Chrome Device Management, works as a manageable plug-and-play media player for in-store displays or digital signage — for example, turning a standard display into a digital menu at a restaurant. It can also be configured as a single-purpose employee kiosk for checkout counters, retail stores, fast food chains, and restaurants. Chrome OS’s account-based access lets the Chromebit CS10 be used as a shared guest kiosk in airports, hotels, and tourism centers, allowing individual users to switch between accounts, securely browse the web, and be logged out automatically after a specified amount of time.

AVAILABILITY AND PRICING

The ASUS Chromebit CS10 is available today for $85.
