Startups Revealense and Iverse Introduce AI-Based Psychological Assessment Tool for Job Candidate Screening

The system not only offers AI-based psychological assessments as a screening tool for job candidates but also the ability to detect their true mental and emotional state regarding the role

The Israeli startups Revealense and Iverse, specializing in AI technologies for analyzing human performance and behavior, have announced a technological collaboration that will offer a solution for psychological assessment as a tool for screening job candidates.

Iverse has developed an AI-powered diagnostic psychologist that analyzes a tailored video interview of a candidate, identifying their functional abilities across a wide range of metrics such as cognitive skills, performance capabilities, interpersonal skills, and organizational fit. The system generates a report with a recommendation on the candidate’s suitability for the position. Iverse’s AI system was trained on thousands of diagnostic interviews conducted by senior occupational psychologists for hundreds of positions in leading Israeli and international companies. This solution acts as a highly reliable virtual occupational psychologist capable of swiftly and accurately evaluating the suitability of numerous candidates. It is currently used as a diagnostic tool to support recruitment efforts across various industries.

Revealense has developed a solution called Illuminator, which analyzes human behavior through AI, whether in live or recorded video. A dashboard displays how multiple neural networks track real-time physiological changes resulting from involuntary nervous system responses, such as skin pigmentation shifts, blood flow, pulse, voice alterations, eye blinking, facial expressions, and micro-muscle movements lasting a fraction of a second. By analyzing these metrics, the system reveals the subject’s changing emotional and cognitive states and pinpoints the content that triggered nervous reactions or stress. Based on these parameters, the system generates a mental profile, allowing managers and psychologists to make informed, accurate, and fair decisions. This mental signature identifies traits, intentions, potential responses, and evolving mental states in various situations.

The combined solution offers AI-based psychologist capabilities for candidate screening, now enhanced with the ability to detect the candidate’s mental and emotional state regarding the role. Among other things, it can reveal whether the candidate’s statements align with their true feelings, identify questions that raise concerns or hesitation about the role, and highlight questions or issues that motivate and inspire the candidate to succeed.

Shira Spetter, Co-founder and CEO of Iverse, stated: “The world of candidate recruitment is changing, and those who understand and adopt these changes will lead the field. AI-based occupational psychologists shorten lengthy screening processes from weeks to just hours, cut resource usage by 50%, and significantly improve the accuracy of candidate-job matches. Final decisions will still be made by managers and recruitment teams, who will gain deeper insights thanks to the integration of content analysis with behavioral DNA and data-driven insights. With shifts in the job market, such as the GenAI revolution and the rise of the freelance economy, these solutions are essential for preventing costly hiring mistakes and enhancing decision-making processes.”

Dov Donin, Founder and CEO of Revealense, added: “Our solution also brings a key capability to eliminate biases and discrimination against candidates based on geography, religion, language, nationality, race, and more. This capability is already patented and is a critical component in ensuring equal opportunities for candidates in companies with diverse populations, where biases—sometimes unintended—are prevalent.”

“The integrated system extends beyond employee recruitment and can be used as a decision-support tool during employees’ career development. Employee interviews can identify which employees within the organization can be promoted, to what roles, what type of management suits each employee, who is fit for relocation, and more. These capabilities increase the likelihood of employees thriving in their assigned roles and staying with the organization for years to come.”
