Pangea IT is set to consult and help governments worldwide in all aspects of managing their COVID-19 operations, including various types of tests, vaccinations, genetic sequencing, and other operations
The Israeli company Pangea IT, which specializes in digital transformation of government and business services, is launching a comprehensive portfolio of services and products aimed at helping government authorities over the globe tackle the COVID-19 crisis in their country.
The strategic venture is set to consult and help governments worldwide in all aspects of managing their COVID-19 operations, including various types of tests, vaccinations, genetic sequencing, and other operations. The venture will help governments build and manage test operations and information and communication solutions that can provide national monitoring and control of the COVID-19 crisis.
As part of the solution, Pangea will propose governments to set up test operations in airports, survey COVID-19 variants, provide solutions for home hospitalizations and monitoring, and consult government in selecting strategies to prepare and manage national medical crises.
To implement the venture, Pangea is adding to its ranks as a consultant Brigadier General (res.) Reli Margalit, who until recently served at the Alon National COVID-19 Headquarters at the IDF Home Front Command.
In his capacity as the Alon HQ commander, and previously as commander of the Epidemiology Investigations Center, Mr. Margalit helped Israel’s Ministry of Health uproot the chain of infection from the second wave of COVID-19 and led important parts of the COVID-19 operations in Israel, including testing, epidemiology investments, isolation, genetic sequencing, and vaccinations. In the past two years, Pangea has been providing solutions for dealing COVID-19 in Israel, including the Test2Fly COVID-19 testing service for departing passengers at Ben Gurion Airport (after winning an Israel Airports Authority tender), and the Lab2Door service, which offers private COVID-19 testing at the customer’s home or office. The company has also developed entry control systems for employees with a Green Pass, which have been installed at companies and office buildings.
Rafi Kaminer, founder and CEO of Pangea says, “To cope with COVID-19, countries need multidisciplinary knowhow and experience, which includes the development of technological solutions, nationwide deployment and operation, and the ability of the public, private, and government sectors to cooperate. Many countries are struggling to deal with such a complex and multidimensional combination of abilities. I believe that the combined abilities of Pangea and Reli Margalit can bridge the gaps for many countries, mainly for developing countries but also large and developed countries whose operations in dealing with the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic are falling short or are not effective enough.”
Reli Margalit says, “I am grateful for the opportunity to join Pangea as a consultant and help the company to develop the medical division and solutions for COVID-19, which will operate overseas. I believe that my extensive experience and knowledge, which I have accumulated in my latest positions, can help other countries to resume their routine.”
