Germany’s Best Employer: Vector Takes Second Place

For the study, the “Great Place to Work” initiative interviewed the employees of 680 companies using an online survey and conducted extensive culture audits on quality, variety and sustainability of the human resources management of the companies. Vector took second place here in the category of best German employer for companies with between 501 and 2,000 employees. In 2019, Vector can also call itself the second-best employer with more than 1,000 employees in the competitive information and communication technology sector. Vector has participated in the Great Place to Work Institute study since 2005 and has improved each time.

Dr. Thomas Beck, managing director of Vector: “Our motivation is to design and further develop workplaces at which every Vector employee enjoys working. We believe that this ‘cultural work’ is a prerequisite for continuing to develop the best solutions for and with our customers.” Marcell Amann, human resources director of Vector, adds: “Vector operates in one of the most agile business fields that we currently have in Germany. Our employees feel and live these dynamics. We do whatever is possible to create the workplaces and the atmosphere that support this momentum. This advances the company as well.”

Vector also achieved excellent results in the 2019 FOCUS employer ranking. In the electronics and electrical engineering industry comparison, Vector took first place. The survey was conducted in collaboration with Statista, Kununu and Xing and published in February 2019. Via the Kununu employer evaluation portal, approximately 200 Vector employees rate the employer as having a very high workplace quality: the average assessment is 4.3 of 5.

Vector, specialist for software and electronics, currently employs more than 1,800 employees at its headquarters in Stuttgart and the German subsidiaries in Karlsruhe, Regensburg, Munich, Braunschweig, Hamburg and Kempten and wants to grow further.
