As part of its strategic orientation, ERNI announced the discontinuation of its D-Sub product portfolio in mid-2018. This means that the D-Sub/TMC connectors with 9 to 50 poles along with the various versions will no longer be available from ERNI in future.
ERNI and PROVERTHA have however entered into an agreement to ensure the availability of the products for current and future customer designs. As part of this agreement, PROVERTHA will continue the production and supply of all existing ERNI D-Sub products and in connection with this will also take over the corresponding machines and tools. Customers will be able to order from PROVERTHA immediately under the same ERNI article numbers as before.
“We are very pleased to have gained PROVERTHA as a professional partner with comprehensive expertise who will manufacture and supply ERNI D-Sub products in the usual high quality,” commented Rudolf Hausladen, Group CEO of ERNI International AG. “This will allow customers to continue their projects and use ERNI resources that become available for other product lines.”
“The ERNI product family is an ideal addition to our extensive and successful D-Sub line. This means that we can offer an even wider range here,” emphasized Gregor Szalay, Managing Director of PROVERTHA. “Our company has been manufacturing D-Sub connectors for over 25 years, and the portfolio has been consistently further developed and expanded.”
