On July 11 in Brooklyn, New York, Intel announced its membership with New Lab. Based in an 84,000-square-foot former machine shop in the Brooklyn Navy Shipyard, New Lab is a community of more than 90 hardware-centric designers, engineers, entrepreneurs and startups focused on creating products that will define the future of technology and the world around us.
Intel’s membership with New Lab will bring Intel technology to member companies working in emerging fields – from robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) to connected devices and sustainable energy.
As part of today’s news, Intel also disclosed that, in collaboration with Lenovo, it has launched an “Innovation Workshop” within the New Lab space. The innovation workshop gives New Lab members access to the latest technologies from Intel and Lenovo – including technologies for AI object detection, the Internet of Things (IoT), drones and more.
