Digi-Key to Give Away InstaLab Kits and e-bikes on Student Day During electronica 2016 in Munich

As part of their 2016 electronica presence, Digi-Key Electronics, a global electronic components distributor, will once again be a sponsor during Student Day on Friday, November 11th.

Student Day is a chance for engineering students to learn about the electronics industry, hear from industry experts, and network with their peers.

“Digi-Key’s sponsorship of Student Day reinforces our message that we are able to serve not only seasoned design engineers, but current makers and future engineers as well,” said Dave Doherty, President and COO. “Our role is to enable innovation by providing on-stop-shop access to virtually any electronic component needed for a design, in-stock and ready to be immediately shipped.”

At the end of the day Digi-Key will be holding a raffle, drawn and announced by “Captain Jack Sparrow”, for a total of 14 prizes. These include 10 InstaLab Kits and 4 e-bikes.

The InstaLab was created to have enough gear to turn an electronics student’s dorm room into their own maker space. The kit includes over 20 different products from many of Digi-Key’s trusted supplier partners.

Several of Digi-Key’s trusted supplier partners are also taking part in Student Day including KEMET, TE Connectivity, Qualtek, ECS, B&K, FLIR, Molex, and MCC (Micro Commercial Components).
