Polycom achieves this position in Gartner Magic Quadrant and IDC MarketScape on Worldwide Enterprise Videoconferencing Equipment for the second and third year in a row, respectively
LONDON, UK – August 12, 2016 – Two influential technology industry analyst firms, Gartner and IDC, have separately recognised Polycom as a Leader in the videoconferencing market. Polycom has been positioned as a leader in Gartner’s July 2016 Group Video Systems Magic Quadrant for the second consecutive year while also being named a “Leader” in the IDC MarketScape Worldwide Enterprise Videoconferencing Equipment 2016 Vendor Assessment (Doc #US41304916, June 2016) report for the third straight year.
The IDC MarketScape noted that Polycom “has often been recognised for its best-of-breed approach in the video collaboration market” while also emphasising that Polycom solutions “integrate directly with Microsoft Skype for Business/Lync without gateways, resulting in reduced complexity, lower costs, and a single workflow for a better user experience.”
“We believe the recognition of two of the industry’s most influential analyst firms provides validation of our vision, strategy and solutions in the video collaboration market,” said Jim Kruger, Chief Marketing Officer of Polycom. “Polycom is pleased to be recognised as a Leader in open standards-based interoperability which is critical for creating a broader network of people to connect with.”
The IDC MarketScape acknowledged Polycom’s record of strength and success in the enterprise channel network space. For more information, or to download an excerpt of the Gartner and IDC reports, please visit here.
