What’s New at MWC

No matter if you’re a new attendee or a veteran of MWC, we’ve always got new things for you to see and new programmes each year. Here’s the new things you should check out once the show opens:

  • For the first time in MWC history, the event will showcase drones within the exclusive Drone Zone sponsored by Intel, in the Artists Rambla Networking Garden, located between Halls 3 & 5. Intel will be showcasing the Yuneec Typhoon H with Intel® RealSense™ Technology inside the Drone Cage. The product was announced at CES 2016 and will be available in the first half of 2016. Come watch one of the first consumer smart drones in action and learn more about this exciting new product!
  • Battery running low? Forget your phone charger at the hotel? Well, there’s no reason to worry. Throughout the venue you will notice Powermat Charging Spots where you can power up your smartphone wirelessly. That’s right, no more having to find an available wall outlet or carry around a clunky charger. You don’t even have to remember to pack a power adaptor/convertor if you’re travelling from outside Europe! Simply download the Powermat app to find where the nearest Charging Spot is located, place your device on the Charging Spot, and tap to charge. It’s that easy! If you have any questions, watch this quick video for a short tutorial.
  • For the first time, every keynote at #MWC16 will be streamed live to a dedicated channel on www.mobileworldlive.com and the My MWC event app. Watch as Mark Zuckerberg, Founder and CEO, Facebook; three-time Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton; chief executives from AT&T, Bharti, China Mobile and Vodafone; vendors Cisco, Ericsson, Huawei and Intel; and disruptors such as Buzzfeed and PayPal take to the stage. If you aren’t able to grab a seat in the auditorium, you can follow every second of the week’s keynote conference programme live online, wherever you are.
  • Luggage can be a hassle when you’re traveling — make your life a little easier by using our new Luggage Service! B network can transport your luggage from the airport to your hotel or apartment on the day you arrive and/or deliver your luggage from your hotel to the airport. They’re the only baggage handling service endorsed by the Barcelona Hotels Association, so you can trust them with your belongings. For more information, visit here.
  • We launched an exciting new programme in 2016– MWC Tours, which help you learn more about the industry via guided exhibition tours. Make the most of your experience at the event with these informative tours. Only a few spots remain, book today!

There is SO much to see and do at Mobile World Congress, we hope you take advantage of these exciting new features in 2016. See you very soon in Barcelona!
