Dassault Systèmes to Demonstrate Sustainable Solutions for Society during COP21

Dassault Systèmes will demonstrate the major role of industry and virtual technologies in offering sustainable solutions to society during the 21st Session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP21) taking place in Paris from November 30-December 11, 2015.

The company will showcase its 3DEXPERIENCity initiatives with the cities of Singapore and Rennes, France, as well as its industry-leading methods for managing carbon emissions at its Paris-area headquarters.  These demonstrations will take place at the Grand Palais museum in Paris, which is hosting exhibitions and conferences dedicated to climate-related solutions and innovations that are open to the public in conjunction with COP21.

In the past 30 years, the use of natural resources has increased by 50 percent due to economic and population growth.  As society becomes increasingly concerned with understanding how the goods and services it consumes impact the planet, innovation, science and imagination are converging to create a more sustainable future.

Industry can play a major role in alleviating environmental challenges and is embracing unprecedented change to advance energy transition, personalized healthcare or sustainable cities.  Virtual universes enable industry to see errors, manage complexity and evaluate performance and impacts in preparation for this change.

Dassault Systèmes develops technologies and solutions that help propel digital transformation in industries ranging from aerospace to life sciences and define the power that the virtual world holds in simulating real-world experiences.  Its 3DEXPERIENCE platform’s digital applications enable industry to think differently in terms of collaboration, intelligence and inventing disruptive solutions that can positively impact society, from smart driverless vehicles and record-breaking solar-powered aviation to hydropower plants and wind turbines.
