Nov 30 2015 – Norwood, MA

  • Analog Devices, Inc. today announced that the company has been named one of the world’s most innovative corporations according to the Thomson Reuters 2015 Top 100 Global Innovator program. Using proprietary data and analysis tools, the Thomson Reuters award program identifies companies and organizations that are world leaders in innovation. This is the fourth time in five years that Analog Devices has been so recognized.

“Impactful innovation has been the hallmark of Analog Devices’ success for the past 50 years and guides every step of our customer engagement,” said Peter Real, senior vice president and chief technology officer, Analog Devices. “We are honored to be selected yet again by Thomson Reuters for solving our customers’ toughest problems, enabling important new discoveries and intelligently bridging the physical and digital worlds with technologies that sense, measure and connect.”

The Thomson Reuters 2015 Top 100 Global Innovator methodology is based on four principle criteria: overall patent volume, patent application-to-grant success rate, global reach of the portfolio, and patent influence as evidenced by citations. This objective formula identifies the companies around the world that are discovering new inventions, commercializing them and protecting them from infringers.

In announcing the 2015 Top 100 global innovators listing, Thomson Reuters stated that the award winners “are a creative and successful group” that combined generated more than $429 trillion in revenue and invested more than $20 trillion in R&D in 2014. “They are the organizations leading us into the future, by innovating, protecting their inventions with IP rights and commercializing them. Without them, our world would be a very different place.” To view the full report on the Thomson Reuters Top 100 Global Innovator program, go to https://top100innovators.com/.
